There's pretty much no detail associated with the video that's been posted over on the Windows Phone Team Blog page, but the folks at Microsoft have dropped a video that actually shows a use for that front facing camera we're seeing on various Mango based devices.
In the video, the HTC Titan is shown off rocking an application called "Tango" (ironically, this is the codename for the next version of Windows Phone, too). The application seems pretty easy to use, and very quick as well. It also appears to either feature Windows Phone calling integration or share the same design guidelines as when a voice call is made.
The app can switch from front camera, to rear, as one would expect. It's not clear if the service requires the user to have friends using the Tango app too, or if it'll work with Skype or Windows Live in the future. Either way, it's great to see support for new hardware already in full swing.
Microsoft was expected to make an announcement regarding Mango at BUILD yesterday, but the delivery of Mango remains ambiguous.
Mango is the major update to Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 platform, which brings many new features such as multitasking, IE9 support, deep social networking, integrated chat and more. The RTM software is expected to be available to retail devices in the next few weeks and new Mango hardware is releasing around the world slowly, with Fujistu releasing the first handset a few weeks ago.
