There have been a lot of gaming movies over the years, but most of them haven't exactly been critical successes. This time, though, Disney has something that looks like it just might be the ultimate video game movie – Wreck-It Ralph.
It's not a Pixar movie, although John Lasseter is executive producer, and it's actually based on an actual video game. It does, however, feature more video game characters than you can shake an 8-bit stick at, as you can see in the trailer below, with everyone from General Bison to Bowser and Dr. Eggman making an appearance. Zangief even has a speaking role.
The movie stars John C. Reilly as Wreck-It Ralph, the villain from the fictional 8-bit arcade game, Fix-It Felix Jr. After 30 years of being the bad guy, Ralph decides he's tired of his job, and wants to try being something other than a bad guy for a change.
The movie also features Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynce, and is due out November 2nd. We can wait. In the meantime, check out the trailer below and see how many of your favorite video game characters you can spot.
