X-Rays Of A TiBook's Interior

Ok, I know this should go under the Mac section but I thought I'd post this as it's quite interesting anyway.

Slashdot posted this story: A fine application of expensive medical equipment: producing neat desktop pictures by taking an x-ray of the guts of a PowerBook G4.

I recently acquired some X-ray images of the Titanium Powerbook from a friend of mine, Jason Diefenbacher. Jason is a solid state scientist here at the university, and he is also involved in incorporating Macintosh technology in the field of medical imaging. These images were acquired during a recent facility install that utilizes both the Ti Powerbooks as well as Cubes for imaging and networking. The original Powerbook X-ray images were acquired on the same equipment used for medical purposes, and are of very high quality. I've scaled and colored a few versions and converted them to PICT and JPEG files. I think they make great desktop images.
