You may think you have a really high Gamerscore on your Xbox Live account compared to your buddies but that's nothing compared to the current world record holder. Raymond Cox has been named the person with the highest Gamerscore by the Guinness World Records folks: This weekend Cox, known as "Stallion83" on Xbox Live, announced on his official blog site that he broke the 600,000 Gamerscore barrier.
Cox achieved this feat by playing the D3 Publisher-released action game Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon, the Codemasters racing simulation DiRT 3, and Kalypso's co-op action game The First Templar. Cox has played over 800 games to reach this huge number. On his blog site, Cox has set his sights on another mini-goal, saying "70 achievements from 25,000 total achievements unlocked is days away." In addition he is just weeks away from making one million "Trueachievement" points. Trueachievements is a third party system of rating Xbox Live Achievements based on the difficulty of making them versus what they are given on Xbox Live.
Cox says he wants to reach the 666,666 Gamerscore goal by October 31, or Halloween, for obvious reasons. But the big goal is still a long away away. Cox is aiming to get a one million Gamerscore. With a ton of Xbox 360 games due out in the next several months Cox should be able to reach that one million Gamerscore goal sooner than some might think.
