Microsoft today released its latest build for Xbox One Insiders that are on the Preview Alpha ring, bringing the build number to 15063.2019, or rs2_release_xbox_ 1704.170407-2038. It's the first one in four days - when build 15063.2013 was released - which is slow-paced for the Alpha ring.
This one doesn't contain any new front-facing features, but it does follow the latest trend of fixing things that were never listed as known issues. Here are those fixes:
OOBE - System update
Fixed a situation in which OOBE could fail a complete setup leaving the console with the default time and no profiles loaded.Guide
Fixed a situation in which the Guide was not displaying all the icons.Localization Fixes
Miscellaneous localization fixes.Voice Navigation
Fixed an issue with voice navigation of Settings menu.
There are still two known issues, which are the same as they have been for some time now:
Settings - Display & sound
The Audio output page is under construction and some of the new settings are not yet functional. New support is planned for Dolby Atmos for home theater, Dolby Atmos for headphones, and more in upcoming builds. An announcement will be made when these new features are ready to try out; enabling these settings now will have no effect.Wireless Display
The Wireless Display app fails to launch and immediately crashes to Home.
In a Reddit post, Microsoft also stated its plans for turning on the feature that allows users to have custom gamerpics, saying that it should arrive in the middle of this week, which will probably be Wednesday. It's not immediately clear if the feature will require a new build, as the firm said that the feature will be "turned on", implying that it's something that can be activated without additional software.
The new build is another preview of version 1704, which is the next feature update for the Xbox One and One S consoles. The version number indicates that it should be finalized this month.
