Xbox One Insider build 15063.2011 is now available in the Alpha ring - here's what's new

It's been three days since build 15063.2009 was released in the Xbox Insider Program, which is actually a pretty long time in the Preview Alpha ring. Today, 15063.2011, or rs2_release_xbox_1704.170330-1900, was released, although according to the release notes, there isn't anything new in terms of features.

There is, however, one fix listed:

  • Language Settings
Fixed an issue which could cause Home to crash when the console is configured to certain locales (JA-JP, ZH-HK, ZH-TW, JA, ZH-SG, ZH-HAN).

And there are also two known issues, both of which were present in earlier builds:

  • Settings - Display & sound

The Audio output page is under construction and some of the new settings are not yet functional. New support is planned for Dolby Atmos for home theater, Dolby Atmos for headphones, and more in upcoming builds. An announcement will be made when these new features are ready to try out; enabling these settings now will have no effect.

  • Wireless Display
The Wireless Display app fails to launch and immediately crashes to Home.

Note that unlike cumulative updates that are being released for Windows 10 PCs, this is actually a preview of a feature update that follows the Creators Update, which was released last week for the console. The version number is 1704, so it should land sometime this month. Members of the Preview Beta ring have already started receiving builds, so it shouldn't be too long before Preview Ring 3 gets it.

If you're on the Preview Alpha ring, you can grab today's update by heading over to Settings -> System -> Updates. If not, you can always work your way up by completing Quests and Surveys in the Insider Hub.
