If you missed out on Microsoft's gamescom 2017 event, luckily, you can catch up on all of the coverage here on Neowin. While it was leaked a couple of days ago, today, we got the official announcement that the firm would start pre-orders and that it would be releasing a special edition of the Xbox One X dubbed the Project Scorpio Edition.
While most who order the $499 console won't be seeing it until its November 7 release date, the firm had a nice surprise in store with an official unboxing video hosted by Larry Hryb, better known as Major Nelson. During the video, Hryb showed off the retail box, console, controller, and more. The Project Scorpio Edition will have a silk screened pattern on the unit itself, along with a special controller, and will come with a vertical stand.
Pre-orders for the console are currently open with one popular retailer in the United States already selling out.
