Earlier today at gamescom 2017, Microsoft announced a Project Scorpio Edition of the Xbox One X, and opened pre-orders for the console through the Microsoft Store and various other retail channels.
While it has only been a few hours since the announcement, it appears that at least one retailer in the United States has sold out of the model. Amazon was one of the first to offer the console and it looks like the retailer is tapped out for now, with a message that it is "currently unavailable" prominently on the pre-order page.
Luckily, there are plenty of other places to purchase the unit like Best Buy, the Microsoft Store, Walmart, Target, and GameStop. While it is uncertain how rare this console will be, Microsoft has stated that it will be a limited item and once the stock has sold out, that it won't be replenished.
The Xbox One X will arrive on November 7 to retail. While the Project Scorpio Edition will be limited, a standard version will also be available.
