If unsubstantiated reports of an alleged conversation with J Allard are to be believed Microsoft may have a stunning coup up its sleeves. While on a skiing holiday, the relaxed Xbox head honcho is claimed to have spilt the beans on the whole Xbox2 hard-drive controversy.
Contrary to earlier reports, there will - allegedly - be a hard-drive for Xbox2, but it will be a slot-in add-on, sold at a loss-leading $100 and fully loaded with WMA and MP3 playing capabilities.
According to a forum post that's been widely circulated in the last few days, Allard was relaxing in a bar in swish Canadian ski resort Whistler when he got talking to a group of interested bystanders.
