After Xiaomi announced the Mi Mix 3 in Beijing nearly two months ago sans information about the phone's regional availability outside China, a new report now claims the device is set to arrive in the UK. But only the Onyx Black and Sapphire Blue color options are supposedly launching in the country, leaving out the Jade Green model.
The handset's UK launch is likely scheduled in the first quarter of 2019. It's important to note that the news comes a month after Xiaomi made its official expansion to the UK.
The Mi Mix 3 is Xiaomi's take on the full-screen display category without adopting the notch that some have arguably come to despise. As a recap, the phone sports a 6.39-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a 2340x1080 resolution and 19:5:9 aspect ratio. It's powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with either 6GB, 8GB, or a generous 10GB of RAM (exclusive to the "Forbidden City Palace Museum" edition).
Perhaps the most notable feature of the device is its magnetic slider, which allows users to activate and pull up the front-facing camera by sliding down the screen. This effectively eliminates the need for a notched display.
The UK pricing for the Mi Mix 3 remains unknown as of now, but that piece of information is expected to surface in the coming months.
