In June this year, Xiaomi debuted its laptops in India. To foray into this category, the company launched two laptops – Mi NoteBook 14 and Mi NoteBook 14 Horizon Edition – in the country.
Xiaomi has now launched a budget variant in the series, dubbed Mi NoteBook 14 e-Learning Edition. With an all-metallic body with a capable specifications sheet, Xiaomi aims to cater to the burgeoning market of students looking for affordable laptops for online learning scenarios necessitated by the pandemic.
Even though the core of the laptop remains the same (here's our Mi NoteBook review), thankfully, the new variant comes with an in-built webcam. The debut models of the Mi NoteBook 14 did not have a webcam built-in which I thought was a baffling omission, especially in the times we live in.

The Mi NoteBook comes with the usual nifty additions from Xiaomi like the Mi Smart Share that allows you to easily share files between your Xiaomi smartphone and the laptop as well as Mi Blaze Unlock that helps your Mi Band unlock the laptop within 1.2 seconds. These help Xiaomi pitch its ecosystem play to laptop buyers.
Xiaomi entered the Indian market in 2014 with smartphones and has since expanded into accessories and smart home products and appliances, as well as a mix of lifestyle products.
