Xiaomi has released its latest budget phone on the Indian online store, Flipkart. With the rate at which the Chinese company churns out phones, you'd be forgiven for not knowing much about the Redmi 3S Prime. The phone will be priced at Rs 8,999 (~$135), and will become available from Flipkart and Xiaomi's own Mi.com from 12pm (Indian Standard Time).
The offer on Flipkart's website will allow you to trade in your old phone and get a huge Rs 7,000 knocked off the price of the Redmi 3S Prime, meaning it will cost just Rs 1,999. Buyers won't need to register with the Flipkart store to actually buy a device.
The Redmi 3S Prime comes with the following specifications:
- 5” display
- 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor
- 13MP rear camera
- 5MP front camera
- Fingerprint sensor
- 4,100mAh battery
- 3GB RAM
- 32GB ROM
Xiaomi says the massive 4,100mAh battery will be able to power the device for a good two days, under moderate use. Batteries over 4,000mAh are now becoming more commonplace, especially in Chinese-manufactured phones. Xiaomi's Mi Max, which launched in May, has a 4,850mAh battery, the biggest that ships with any of the company's smartphones.
