It's been nearly a year since Xiaomi held the global launch of the Redmi Note 9 series in India. So it won't be a bit of a stretch to anticipate a successor to the firm's mid-range smartphone offering, which Xiaomi India recently confirmed would debut on March 4.
Now, the company has teased additional details about the upcoming phone via its landing page for the global announcement. The teaser indicates that the Redmi Note 10 series will be powered by a Snapdragon chipset. It's not clear for now what Snapdragon variant will be used for the device, but a previous leak suggested that the Redmi Note 10 Pro would be powered by a Snapdragon 732G SoC at least.
Xiaomi has also promised "an all-new stunning design" for the Redmi Note 10 series, with its side profile revealing a protruding camera bump and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Its front panel was also revealed, showing a punch-hole camera cutout. The display will feature a Corning Gorilla Glass protection and the phone itself will have an IP52 rating for water and dust resistance.
Apart from those details, the teaser didn't shed light on the specific features and technical specs of the phone save for a few improvements coming to it. For example, Xiaomi teased a "lighter" and "slimmer" body for the handset as well as a big battery with faster charging. You can also expect a Hi-Res Audio certification and improved haptics. As to its price and regional availability, we'll have to wait for Xiaomi's announcement next month.
