We've had the chance to take a look at a newer beta build of Windows XP SP2 than the current beta 1 (build 2055) that testers have been given. One of the biggest things we've noticed is the addition of a "Security Center". It seems all the work for PC satisfaction trial wasn't wasted since it is now included with Windows XP SP2 in a slightly lighter form. The build carries the tag Build 2600.xpsp.040207-1502 : Service Pack 2, v.2077 and includes a new WMP9 build (3116) and updated Outlook express/Internet explorer versions. However, it doesn't seem like some of the new icon changes are in effect in this beta build. We're still expecting a new build to be released to testers within the week but there are rumours that RC1 will be released around March 4th. Check out the screenshots below.
