The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout open beta for PC players is slated to begin tomorrow, with those who've pre-ordered the game gaining access later today at 10am PT. However, Blizzard has detailed another method to get early access other than pre-ordering the shooter, which involves watching Twitch streams.
Several popular Twitch streamers will be playing and promoting the battle royale mode from 10am PT to 2pm PT today, and all you need to do is at least catch one hour of a stream to gain early access yourself. Here are the participating streamers and their Twitch pages for easy access:
Remember that linking your Battle.net and Twitch accounts prior to watching the streams is a necessary step to accomplishing this, which can be done by heading over here. Moreover, pre-loads of the beta is already available on Battle.net as well, so there won't be any downtime between gaining access and playing.
As for console players, the Blackout mode's PlayStation 4 beta is already underway while Xbox One players can jump in beginning at 10am PT today, but both require pre-ordering the title. The beta will come to an end on all platforms on September 17 at 10am PT.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is slated to launch in full on October 12, touting multiplayer, co-op, and battle royale modes.
