Just three months after it went on sale, Microsoft introduced a $150 discount on its Surface Laptop this week, when purchased with select Surface accessories. It's also offering identical savings on its new Surface Pro tablet, which it unveiled a few weeks after the Laptop, in late-May.
The new deal is available in the US on the $999 Surface Pro model, which features a 7th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB RAM, and 128GB SSD. Microsoft is offering $150 off when you buy that model as a bundle with a Signature Type Cover in Platinum or Cobalt Blue (sadly, the Burgundy option is out of stock).
That brings the total cost to $1,008.99, rather than the $1,158.99 cost of purchasing the tablet and Type Cover at full price. Effectively, this means that you're buying the Type Cover for just $9.99, compared with $159.99. Three optional add-ons are also available for the bundle:
- Office 365 Personal (one year) - $49.99
- Office 365 Home (one year) - $79.99
- Microsoft Complete protection (two years) - $149
Don't forget that - unlike its predecessor, the Pro 4 - the new Surface Pro tablet doesn't include the Surface Pen, which will set you back an additional $99.99. Unfortunately, even if you want one, you can't have one - the Microsoft Store is currently out of stock of the Surface Pen in every color.
