Microsoft has been working hard to make its Xbox One more appealing lately, with recent announcements at E3 2015 including a string of exclusive games on the way, a new user experience with Cortana, and Xbox 360 backward compatibility.
It also introduced a new Xbox One with 1TB of onboard storage - a move that Sony followed today with its PS4 - and it's now available as part of a promotional bundle via the Microsoft Store.
Major Nelson, aka Microsoft's Larry Hryb tweeted details of that deal today:
So for $399, that deal would get you:
- The new 1TB Xbox One console
- The new standard wireless controller with integrated 3.5mm headset jack
- Xbox One Chat Headset
- Halo: The Master Chief Collection
- $50 credit for the Microsoft Store
...and you'll also get any game of your choice free as well. Microsoft announced that promotion on Friday, offering anyone who buys the Xbox One before June 27 any game they want, completely free, as long as it's currently on sale, on disc, and doesn't cost more than $59.99.
The $50 promo code for the Store will be part of the bundle until June 30 - so if you're thinking about buying the Xbox One, now might not be a bad time to go for it.
