Last month, alongside its new Surface Laptop, Microsoft unveiled the Surface Arc Mouse. It's intended primarily for those in need of a portable mouse - like Microsoft's older Arc Touch Mouse, the new accessory is completely flat when stowed in your bag, but can be 'snapped' and locked into a curved shape, so that it can be used comfortably. Snapping it back to its flat position powers it down to preserve battery life.
The Surface Arc Mouse will come in three colors - Burgundy, Light Gray, and Cobalt Blue - matching the color options of the Surface Laptop, and the new Surface Pro tablet. But now, the company has opened pre-orders for another peripheral: the Microsoft Arc Mouse.
The Microsoft Arc Mouse seems to be identical to the Surface Arc Mouse, with the exception of its name, and its color: the non-Surface accessory is only available in black. The Surface Arc Mouse's key features include:
- Ultra-slim and lightweight
- Snaps flat and slips easily into pocket or bag
- Innovative full scroll plane for vertical and horizontal scrolling
- Connects wirelessly via Bluetooth
The black Surface Arc Mouse can be pre-ordered from the Microsoft Store for $79.99 - the same price as the Microsoft Arc Mouse. Both mice are scheduled to be released on June 30.
