Twitch announced today that digital gift cards are now available to purchase, but only in the U.S. for now. These virtual gift cards can be used to pay for items meant to help support streamers or gain access to perks on the streaming platform.
You can use these gift cards to buy Bits (Twitch's virtual good used to support streamers), for example. In other cases, you can also buy subs for yourself to support streamers or gift subs to others using these gift cards. All you need is the recipient's email address or phone number in order to send a digital gift card. These are available in $25, $50, $100, and $200 denominations. You can purchase the gift cards on Twitch's website.
In addition to the digital gift cards, Twitch says it's also planning to sell physical cards at Best Buy and GameStop in the future, available in different values ranging from $15 to $200. And while these cards are available only in the U.S. for the time being, Twitch will roll them out in other countries soon.
