Yesterday, it became apparent that Verizon is no longer selling Lumia phones on its website. While they were still selling other Windows Phones, the older Lumia 928 and Lumia 822, were absent.
While the Lumias may not be front and center on the website, if you still want a Lumia 928, you can buy a refurbished model for $239.99, which is a reasonable price considering this is off-contract pricing. You can check out our review of the device here to get a better understanding of the phone if you are interested in purchasing it.
While the specs are a bit aged, Windows Phone still runs well on nearly any hardware and with its dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 GPU at 1.5 GHz, Adreno 225 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 1.2MP camera up front and an 8.7MP camera around back, 2000 mAh battery, and 32 GB of on-board storage, for $239.99, this doesn't seem like too bad a deal. You can buy the device in either white or black.
It is important to point out that this phone is being marketed for the pre-paid service Verizon offers and will not work on any other carrier besides Verizon. While we do have a Lumia 928 that works with non-prepaid service, and we believe this phone should work on a standard contract, check with your Verizon rep to make sure it will work with your plan.
You can head to the source link below to buy the device right now but seeing that the phone is refurbished, quantities are likely limited.
