The YouTube Kids app has finally made its way to Amazon Fire TV devices. The app offers a safe experience for kids that is more fun for them to explore on their own and makes it easier for parents and caregivers to manage their television viewing.
YouTube Kids is a separate app by Google that is geared towards children, with curated selections of content, parental control features, and filtering of videos deemed inappropriate viewing for children aged under 13. YouTube Kids was first released on February 15, 2015, as an Android and iOS mobile app, and later made available on several smart TV platforms, including Android TV and Apple TV.
The app is designed to meet kids’ needs, like larger buttons for easier interaction and child-friendly graphics throughout. It also allows parents to create customized profiles for each child in their family and block channels or videos that they don’t want the kids to see.
Amazon has shared that the YouTube Kids app will begin rolling out to customers starting July 9.
