Obsidian Entertainment's early access project Grounded is receiving its second content update soon, following the bird addition last month, and the studio has already shared the changelog. Alongside new features like ziplines, a biome revamp, and new perks, the update will also carry quite a few changes and bug fixes.
This 0.3.0 content update is slated to land at around 10AM PDT / 1PM EDT today, September 30, for Xbox One, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass players.
As part of the update, the south-east corner's Hedge area has received an overhaul with new content. Players will also have access to three new building items, including the aforementioned ziplines as well as spinning wheels - for processing spider webs - and signs. To make spiders even more of a threat, there will now be a new kind of spider web that "sticks to unsuspecting players and critters."
Moreover, with Halloween coming up soon, the developer is also adding in a couple of new world landmarks titled Frankenline and Jack-o-Lantern, plus Candy Corn as a new food item. To find the full list of insect behavior changes, balance tweaks, and bug fixes, head to the official September update changelog page here.
Earlier this month, the developer opened a Grounded public test environment, letting Steam players preview upcoming updates before they are pushed to the public builds. Obsidian also keeps a feature board for the miniature survival title for showcasing what features are being planned for future updates.
