Double Commander is a cross platform open source file manager with two panels side by side. It is inspired by Total Commander and features some new ideas. Double Commander uses Total Commander plugin API, so under Microsoft Windows you can use plugins from Total Commander. Double Commander can be run on several platforms and operating systems. It supports 32-bit and 64-bit processors.

Backward incompatible changes
- Secure password store format has changed (file pwd.ini). The old format is converted on first use, new file format cannot be used with old DC version anymore. Password store uses AES-256 + Blowfish-448 encryption with key generated using scrypt key derivation function.
