With Glow, all the information is conveniently presented in one clean interface, allowing you to easily access and review the comprehensive hardware details of your system.
Glow provides detailed information on various system aspects, including OS, motherboard, processor, memory, graphics card, storage, network, battery, drivers, and services. The well-organized format ensures easy access to the required information. You can export all the gathered data to a plain text file, facilitating sharing with others for troubleshooting purposes.
No installation needed. Just decompress the archive, launch the executable, and access computer-related information. Glow runs on Windows 11 and Windows 10 64-bit versions.
Glow 24.15 release notes:
This is the last update for Glow for 2024. The next version will come after May 2025. There will be no new updates during this time. The next version after v24.14 will be v25.06 or v25.07.
What's new
- Italian language support has been provided.
- The Fast Boot Status feature has been added to the Operating System section. This feature is used to show whether Windows is booting with the fast boot feature or not.
- The Windows Defender Core Isolation feature has been added to the Operating System section. This feature is used to show the status of the Core Isolation feature in Windows Defender.
- The ability to show Microsoft Edge WebView2 version has been added to the Operating System section. This feature is used to show the WebView2 version.
- The Windows Activation Channel feature has been added to the Operating System section. This feature is used to show the Windows activation type. For example Retail Channel.
- The System Model Manufacturer information feature has been added to the Motherboard section. This feature allows you to see which brand your computer is manufactured by.
- The System Model Family feature has been added to the Motherboard section. This feature shows which family your computer model comes from.
- The Intel ME Version feature has been added to the Processor section. This feature is used to show the Intel Management Engine version. There is no AMD PSP support yet.
- The Processor Microcode Status feature has been added to the Processor section. This will show you if your processor has received a microcode update.
- The Processor Platform Feature has been added to the Processor section. This feature serves to show the technical version numbers of your processor.
- The Processor Feature Set feature has been added to the Processor section. This feature is used to display numbers indicating the feature set of your processor.
- The Processor Revision feature has been added to the Processor section. This feature displays the revision number of your processor in decimal.
- The Processor Legacy Revision feature has been added to the Processor section. This feature displays the old revision number of your processor in decimal.
- The BitLocker Status feature has been added to the Storage section. This feature shows whether BitLocker is turned on or not on the currently selected disk.
- The BitLocker Encryption Status feature has been added to the Storage section. This feature shows the encryption status of BitLocker on the currently selected disk.
- The BitLocker Encrypt Method feature has been added to the Storage section. This feature shows which BitLocker encryption algorithm is used on the currently selected disk.
- The Network Troubleshooting Tool has been added to Tools. This tool is used to solve network related problems on your computer. It is a simple but effective tool. The shortcut key for this feature is CTRL + O.
- The Wi-Fi Password Reveal Tool has been added to Tools. This tool is used to show and copy the password of Wi-Fi networks you have previously connected to. The shortcut key for this feature is CTRL + P.
- ZIP compression of Blue Screen files in the Operating System section has been accelerated. It now compresses 50% faster.
- The Create Battery Report feature in the Battery section has been improved. Now, when a battery report is created, it is uniquely named and saved by moving it to the desktop.
- The file reading and uploading speed of the Cache Cleaner has been accelerated and optimized by up to 85%.
- The Cache Cleanup Tool has been improved. Now when you select a folder location, the path to the selected folder is written at the bottom.
- The algorithm that loads Glow's partitions has been reprogrammed. It now utilizes the processor and RAM more efficiently, delivering high performance.
- Glow's preload speed has been accelerated by 30%. The loading speed of episodes is now better.
Fixed Bugs
- Fixed a bug where the connection to Regedit would not close after pulling data from the Registry.
- Fixed a parsing bug where the English language would not appear when there was no 'Chinese.ini' file in the g_lang folder.
- Fixed an error when compressing Blue Screen files to ZIP in the Operating System section.
- Fixed a sizing bug that caused the container and text to be nested in the field showing the total number of disks in the disk partition.
- Fixed a sizing bug that caused the container and text to be nested in the area showing the active network device and bandwidth in the Network section.
- Fixed a size reading bug that caused the Cache Cleanup Tool to crash on some Windows 11 systems.
- Fixed a bug where file sizes were showing as 'x' during upload when opening the Cache Cleanup Tool.
- Fixed a bug that caused the table in the Cache Cleanup Tool to crash when the sorting was changed by clicking on the title section.
- Fixed a bug that caused the Processor Test Tool to crash when you opened it as soon as Glow was opened. It is now set so that the Processor Test Tool will not open until the processor partition is loaded.
- Fixed the bug that caused the table in the DNS Test Tool to crash when the sorting was changed by clicking on the title section.
- Fixed a sizing bug in Glow that caused containers to have inconsistent heights.
- Fixed a bug in the numbering order of the text where the properties are written in Glow.
- Fixed a bug where copyright text appeared differently for each property in Glow and on exports.
Changes
- The spacing between the text in Glow's interface and the feature has been increased. It now has a more comfortable look.
- The System Model feature in the Operating System section has been moved to the Motherboard section.
- Changed the structure of the Actively Used Device property in the Network section. It now shows the bandwidth on the bottom line as Active Bandwidth.
- The automatic refresh time in the Cache Cleanup Tool has been increased from 10 seconds to 15 seconds.
- Definition changes were made to the properties in some sections.
Note: Always unzip the program before using it. Otherwise you may get an error.
