VidCoder

VidCoder is a DVD/Blu-ray ripping and video transcoding application for Windows. It uses HandBrake as its encoding engine. Calling directly into the HandBrake library gives it a more rich UI than the official HandBrake Windows GUI. VidCoder can rip DVDs but does not defeat the CSS encryption found in most commercial DVDs.

You’ll need the .NET 6 Desktop Runtime. If you don’t have it, VidCoder will prompt you to download and install it. The Portable version is self-contained and does not require any .NET Runtime to be installed.

You do not need to install HandBrake for VidCoder to work.

Add the expected file path to the error message when the output video file cannot be found.

VidCoder 12.1 Beta changelog:

Added ability to reorder and customize columns on the Completed jobs list. Right click on the column headers and choose "Customize columns..."
Added a "% of source" column to the Completed tab to show how much was saved by the transcode.
Added optional "Source size" column to the Completed tab.
Added an option to remember the last selected "when done" option on restart.
Updated overall ETA calculation to take into account simultaneous encodes.
Added a split button option to add to the top of the queue.
Allow removing the source track name in the main window.
