Dell's Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 Black Edition is a mouthful to say, but it's certainly an interesting device. Sitting right below the premium XPS lineup, it's certainly a premium device. In fact, there are only two SKUs, and I love it when companies don't let consumers make bad choices.
The only difference between the two SKUs is that one has a 256GB and the other has 512GB, with Intel Optane memory. Other than that, they both have an Intel Core i7-8565U CPU, 16GB RAM, and a 13.3-inch 4K UHD touchscreen. Naturally, the Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 Black Edition supports Dell Cinema, a combination of an HDR screen with narrow bezels, Waves MaxxAudio, and SmartByte streaming optimization.
But most interestingly, Dell has an innovative solution for pen storage. Every other convertible that has built-in pen storage offers a smaller pen, but not Dell. The Inspiron has a pen garage built into the hinge, allowing you to always have a full-size pen with you.
There are some other improvements as well, such as the power button being on the keyboard and including a fingerprint sensor. Check out the unboxing video below:
