I've always been a fan of Dell's XPS 15 laptop, often calling it the perfect combination of power and portability. But also, what if there was something bigger and more powerful? Well, now there is. For the first time in a decade or so, there's a Dell XPS 17, and as you can see from the image above, the bezels are so narrow that it fits in the footprint of a more traditional 15-inch laptop.
Naturally, it has the bigger screen at 17.3 inches, and this display is 16:10, so it's a bit taller than the screen on your average laptop. The model that Dell sent me is UHD+, so it's absolutely beautiful.
It's also even more powerful than the XPS 15. It has the same Intel Comet Lake H processors, which are 45W chips with up to eight cores and 16 threads, but this one has Nvidia's GeForce RTX graphics. In fact, it's the first Dell XPS laptop to have RTX graphics, meaning that it supports real-time ray tracing and DLSS.
