HP announced the Elite x3 back in February at Mobile World Congress, promising a summer arrival for the device. The actual release dates varied by region, but you can pick one up in a Microsoft Store right now if you're in the US.
The Elite x3 is aimed squarely at businesses with a heavy focus on Continuum. The $799 bundle that we're unboxing includes the Desk Dock, which allows the user to connect the device to a monitor, as well as a keyboard, mouse, and other accessories. Another option that HP is offering - which is available for pre-order right now - is the Lap Dock, which is designed for using Continuum in a laptop form factor.
While it doesn't target consumers, it's still the most powerful Windows phone on the market, so consumers are bound to be interested. The 5.96-inch display feels like a throwback to the Nokia Lumia 1520, and the powerful speakers are reminiscent of the HTC One M8.
