At CES this year, LG launched a new range of gram laptops, including a 17-inch clamshell and its first convertible, the gram 14 2-in-1. The entire gram lineup is renowned for being the lightest in its class, and weighing in at just 2.53 pounds, the gram 14 2-in-1 is no exception.
Of course, it's not the lightest 14-inch laptop by any means, but it's definitely one of the lightest that comes in a convertible form factor. For example, Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 Carbon comes in at under two and a half pounds (1.2kg), but its convertible sibling, the X1 Yoga, weighs in at 2.99 pounds (1.35kg).
But what's really cool about all of LG's gram laptops is that they don't seem to make any compromises. It uses a full Intel U-series CPU, a Core i7-8565U, to be specific. You might have expected a Y-series chip to cut out a fan and make it lighter, but that's not the case. The trackpad is clickable, it has a full keyboard, and it even has multiple USB Type-A ports.
