Ace Combat is a popular flight simulation series published by Bandai Namco Games. The franchise focuses on fast-paced air-combat with emphasis on fictionalized plots as well. Since its advent back in 1992, as many as 18 titles in the series have been released on numerous platforms including Game Boy Advance, iOS, PC, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. Now, the company has offered us the latest look at its upcoming title Ace Combat 7: Unknown Skies in a new E3 trailer, which you can check out below:

Some of the storyline of the upcoming game can be seen and heard from the trailer above. Additionally, the title also promises an immersive virtual reality experience with exclusive missions specifically designed for PlayStaion VR users. Bandai Namco also goes on to say that:

Leveraging the power of the newest generation gaming consoles, Ace Combat 7 will blow players away with the evolution of its graphics engine. Beautifully rendered cloud-filled skies and highly detailed cityscapes enhance the sense of unparalleled speed and set the stage for the most engaging aerial battles in the franchise’s storied 20 year history. Ace Combat 7 will provide an arsenal of ultra-modern super weapons and formidable enemies that the series is known for.

The company's latest PC offering, Ace Combat Assault Horizon, was panned by gamers for featuring "terrible controls", and currently sports a 6/10 rating on Steam. With Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown slated for a release on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, some time in 2018, Bandai Namco will be hoping that it can rectify the mistakes that it made with its previous PC offering.
