Microsoft is selling the Lumia 550 for $99 in the US for the next week

Microsoft today marked down the Lumia 550 in its US Microsoft Store to just $99. The normal price of the device is $139, making the deal $40 off. If you want one though, you'll have to grab it soon, as this deal expires in a week:

Offer valid from October 3, 2016 to October 9, 2016, while supplies last. Available only in Microsoft retail and online store in the US (including Puerto Rico) and Canada. Offer valid only on select Lumia 550 device. Limited colors and quantities available. Not valid on prior orders or purchases; cannot be transferred or otherwise redeemed for cash or coupon code(s). May not be combinable with other offers. Refunds will take into account the discount. Price discount does not include taxes, shipping or other fees. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Microsoft reserves the right to modify or discontinue offers at any time. Limit of 3 per customer. Other exclusions and limits may apply.

Back in July, Microsoft also slashed the price of the device by 20% in the UK and Ireland. Unlike today's deal in the US and Canada, that price cut is permanent. In fact, there was another week-long deal on the Lumia 550 for $99 in the US back in June.

If you're looking for something that's a bit more high end, the company permanently cut the price of the Lumia 950 and 950 XL back in August to $399 and $499, respectively. Either of those will come with a free Lumia Display Dock as well, so you'll be able to set up a Continuum environment. If you don't need the Dock and don't mind it being carrier-locked, the Lumia 950 is available for just $298.99 from AT&T.

We reviewed the Lumia 550 back in March, and were not impressed with it. You can check out our findings right here. If you want to grab the device for $99, you can find it here.
