The holiday shopping season is fast approaching, and retailers are preparing all sorts of promotions to get customers to hand over their hard-earned bucks. Microsoft, for example, will be selling refurbished Surface 2 tablets for $199 on Black Friday, while Walmart will offer a $99 8-inch Windows 8.1 tablet.
Over at Best Buy, among the many deals available, bargain hunters will be able to pick up a Lumia 635 on AT&T for just $39.99 on Black Friday – quite a discount from the usual price. The Windows Phone usually costs around $100, and includes 4G LTE connectivity, along with:
- 4.5-inch FWVGA (854x480px) IPS LCD with Corning Gorilla Glass 3
- Quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400
- 512MB RAM
- 8GB onboard storage (plus microSD support up to 128GB)
- 5MP rear camera with 720p video recording
- 1830mAh battery
The Lumia 635 will only be available at that price from November 27 to 29, and it appears to apply only to the black model (although you can buy covers in alternative colors inexpensively). At just $39.99, the device will be even cheaper than Microsoft’s entry-level Lumia 530, which is available for $49.99 off-contract from Cricket Wireless.
