Nintendo Upgrades Hotel Rooms

LodgeNet and Nintendo issued a joint announcement today that they would begin offering Nintendo GameCube titles through its sigNETure TV system. The sigNETure system consists of on-demand delivery of theatrical movies and other services in over 875,000 rooms across the United States and Canada. LodgeNet began offering on-demand Super Nintendo games to hotel guests in 1993 and has been providing Nintendo 64 games since 1998 as part of a 10 year strategic alliance.

According to a statement from Lodgenet Senior Vice-President Steven Truckenmiller: "Guests have demonstrated how much they love Nintendo games by purchasing more than a billion minutes of game time on LodgeNet systems, "We look forward to deploying Nintendo GameCube as the latest milestone in an exceptionally fruitful relationship with an entertainment innovator and valued strategic partner."
