helmers
Hi all. I've been working hard on my theme, and I had decided in advance to release it for Christmas, so here it is. There are a couple of quirks; the taskbar has to be located at the bottom(where it is supposed to be) and you have to go into the "advanced" menu and set it to be small. Please PM me any bugs you find, I know about a couple allready, but they are WindowBlinds and not my fault, or so it would seem. Go to my website to find some matching wallpapers and a couple of icons in an IconPackager set. Merry Christmas! :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/125874-theme-gnome-v2-simple/ Share on other sites

ViperSnake
Installed it and it's pretty neat! But for the next verison I have a suggestion, Could you make the Start button look like the Gnome Menu applet but instead of it saying "Applications Actions" it says Start? Danrarbc
Changing the taskbar button top and bottom content margins to zero will get rid of the need to set the taskbar size advanced option, it'll be small by default. It won't hurt the look of this skin. To get rid of the magic pink on shellstyle and Firebird scrollbars go to the Miscellaneous section > Skin Metrics. Set the scroll width to 15 or higher. Then change the scrollbar image to have each frame be 15 pixels wide instead of 13, or 345 pixels total (each button must also be edited to be 2 pixels wider). (since this is a GPL theme I'll just attach a fixed image, since it's hard to explain) Using a dark color for the control panel background will fix the white text issue in the new categorized control panel. Since you can't set all of the text colors :( ScrollBarArrows.zipFetching info... helmers
Thanks for your help, Danrarbc641. However: I tried changing the content margins, and the sizing margins, but it didn't do much good, at least not on my rig. At least it looks okay even with a large taskbar now. Also, I want a 13px scrollbar. Even if there is magic pink. I am sure Stardock will remove the bug(?) at some point. I tried using your file without going down in size, but then it just looked "fat" and squished, sorry. It isn't a big problem for me, and I like the small scrollbars a lot better than the normal-sized ones. Thanks for spotting the color issue too; the xpstyled backgrounds are just a quick fix to get it out in time. I have updated/reuploaded the skin. ViperSnake: I originally wanted to do a Bluecurve / Keramik style, I did some work on it for .msstyles. But others have made great ports of these skins, so I think I wont bother. If I am to do more, it will probably be some color schemes for this one, or perhaps one more influenced by "mist", which is my favorite GTK2 theme. sttroopers: The .msstyles version is bad. I decided to go with WindowBlinds, because it has a couple of extra features, and according to Neil, I believe, it will work on Longhorn. :) And also, I will have lots of fun this Christmas, I am not your slave, and I will fix bugs if they really are giving peopel trouble, but other than that, I'm on vacation. So have mercy. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/125874-theme-gnome-v2-simple/#findComment-1507576 Share on other sites
