In the middle of the night, Intel announced its new 45W 10th-generation CPUs for gaming laptops, mobile workstations, and more. That means that it's time for OEMs to refresh their wares, and that includes Acer with a new Predator Triton 500 and Nitro 5.
Both of the laptops now offer Intel's new Comet Lake H chips, with the Predator Triton 500 offering up to a hexa-core Core i7-10750H and Nvidia's new GeForce RTX 2080 GPU. It also comes with a 300Hz display with 3ms overdrive response time. That all comes in a 17.9mm thin chassis that weighs in at just 4.63 pounds, and you can get it with up to 32GB DDR4 RAM and a 2TB NVMe RAID 0 SSD.
The Acer Nitro 5 is aimed at the casual gaming market, with up to a 45W Core i7 and up to a GeForce RTX 2060. It comes with a 15.6-inch FHD display with up to a 144Hz refresh rate.
The Predator Triton 500 is coming in May, to North America starting at $2,199.99, EMEA starting at €1,899, and China starting at ¥14,999. The Nitro 5 is coming to North America in May starting at $749.99, EMEA in May starting at €899, and China in April starting at ¥6,499.
