The Apple Watch may be selling in somewhat limited numbers for now, but that may be about to change as Apple’s wearable is headed for Best Buy next month.
Apple’s Watch has mostly been sold online or in Apple stores, thanks to limited inventory at first. Only recently has the wearable become a bit more accessible, showing up at some international stores and third party retailers. However, on the 7th of August, that will all change as the Watch will become available at Best Buy, the first major partner to carry the device.
In a press release, Best Buy announced that it would start carrying the Sport and stainless steel Watch models, alongside straps and other official accessories. The huge retail chain wants to expand availability of the wearable to 300 of its locations before the start of the holiday season.
Alhough some analysts claimed that Watch sales had collapsed over the past months, Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, recently said that sales were actually increasing. With such a major partner as Best Buy coming on board, the Watch may soon be sold in bigger volumes than ever.
