Apple's iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max are up for pre-order tomorrow

Half of Apple's iPhone 12 series was made available the week after the announcement, but if you were holding out for an iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 12 Pro Max, you had to wait a little bit longer. Beginning tomorrow, those two devices will be available for pre-order. Here's everything you need to know.

First of all, pre-orders begin at 5am Pacific Time. This is an important note because it wasn't until recently that iPhone pre-orders didn't start at midnight Pacific Time, and if you were on the east coast, you'd have to set an alarm for 3am.

Also, in general, you'll want to get in your pre-order as early as possible if you plan on getting your new phone on the release date, which is November 13. This is especially true if you're planning on getting a new color, such as the Pacific Blue variant of the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Apple devices don't sell out like devices on other retailers, but the shipping date will get pushed back.

If you're still undecided on which device to get, here's a cheat sheet.

As noted, Apple charges $30 more on the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12 if you want it SIM-free. Also, it costs an additional $50 to go from 64GB to 128GB, and then another $100 to go from 128GB to 256GB. On either of the Pro models, it's $100 to go from 128GB to 256GB, and another $200 to go from 256GB to 512GB.

The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are available now, as are the lower prices on older devices like the iPhone XR, iPhone 11, and iPhone SE.

You'll be able to get the new devices directly through Apple, or from any major carrier like AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon. Each carrier will have their own deals and trade-in programs. However, Apple has its own financing programs.

The iPhone Upgrade Program allows for a yearly upgrade of your phone, or you'll own it if you keep the device for two years. The price of the phone and AppleCare+ is broken up into 24 payments, and after a year, you can trade up for a new one. If you're on the iPhone Upgrade Program, or you want to start on it, you can actually get pre-approved today through the Apple Store app on your iPhone. That way, when you go to order your new device tomorrow morning, you don't have to go through the process.
