Cuphead has been in development for quite some time and after years in the making, it is finally coming to the Xbox One on September 29. In order to celebrate the event, StudioMDHR, the developer of the game, and Xbox will be hosting a launch party in Los Angeles the day the game is released.
If you haven't heard of Cuphead before, it is a unique co-op shooter game that features exquisite 1930s style hand-drawn artwork complimented by a lively jazz soundtrack. While the game might look cute, it also seems quite challenging and should be an enticing purchase for anyone yearning for a classic side-scrolling shooter that requires patience, skill, and persistence.
The event will take place at Meltdown Comics and Collectibles located on Sunset Boulevard and will be themed in a 1930s look. It will also have Cuphead creators Chad and Jared Moldenhauer in attendance, along with demo stations of the game, and unique artwork. Best of all, there will be no charge for the event, but as interest is expected to be quite high, it is recommended to RSVP to the event via Eventbrite. The party will start at 7pm and end at 11pm.
If you aren't able to make it to the event, but wish to check out the game, it will be available on the Xbox Marketplace, Microsoft Store, or Steam for $19.99.
