It's Thursday, which means that it's time for Microsoft to add more titles to the list of Xbox 360 games that are backward compatible with the Xbox One, which now stands at over 350 titles. There's only one new game today, which is Far Cry 3.
Far beyond the reach of civilization is a mysterious island overrun with violence and suffering. While traveling with friends, you are taken captive and brutalized. Your only hope of survival lies in unraveling the dark secrets of the island and its deranged inhabitants. Alone at the edge of the world, where nothing is what it seems, you must find a way to fight back and escape this island of insanity.
But if you're looking for new games on the cheap, you should be cashing in on Games with Gold, which offers four free games a month to Xbox Live Gold subscribers, assuming that you claim them within the specified dates. You've still got a couple days for some of last month's offers, with two days left to claim Layers of Fear (Xbox One) and Heavy Weapon (Xbox 360). You've also got until April 15 to grab Evolve Ultimate Edition (Xbox One).
Of course, beginning on April 1, there's a whole new round of Games with Gold. As of that date, you'll be able to claim Ryse: Son of Rome (Xbox One) and Darksiders (Xbox 360).
Microsoft also recently announced the Xbox Game Pass, which will offer over 100 games for $10 per month. It's available for Insiders to test out now; in fact, it was just promoted to the Preview Beta ring.
The company rolled out the Creators Update for Xbox One and One S consoles yesterday. This means that among many other new features, you'll be able to stream all of these games over Beam. It's baked right into the Guide; all you have to do is have a Beam account linked to your Microsoft account.
Microsoft typically adds new backward compatible games on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so make sure to check back on Tuesday to see if there's more.
