Earlier this week, Vivendi Universal Games announced a game based on the film classic Scarface, due to hit consoles in Fall 2005. The October issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly will have a world exclusive feature on the game with images, concept art, and comments from the creators.
In the article, readers will learn how developer Radical Games and publisher Vivendi plan to make Scarface a continuation of the movie, rather than a re-telling of the same story from the film, and how technical issues like vehicles and speech mix with the morality of developing a South Florida drug empire.
Peter Wanat, producer of The Chronicles of Riddick, is VU Games' Senior Producer on Scarface, and he tells EGM: "Players have seen the movie -- the movie does a great job of telling that story. We would much rather give the player a unique experience. We're gonna get away from games [where] you've seen the movie, [now] play the movie."
