Microsoft seems to be working pretty hard this month to get its Surface 3 tablets flying off out of its warehouses and into the hands of consumers.
Earlier this month, it offered a free Type Cover keyboard, worth $129.99, with purchases of any Surface 3 tablet. Last week, it ran a two-day promotion, slashing $150 off the two Surface 3 models with 128GB of storage. And now, in a deal that actually began on January 24 - just three days after the last one ended - the Microsoft Store is currently offering $100 off its 128GB Surface 3s.
That means that you can currently buy the Surface 3 128GB models for the same price as their 64GB counterparts:
Model | Regular price | Current price |
Wi-Fi only | ||
64GB / 2GB RAM |
$499 | $499 |
128GB / 4GB RAM |
$599 | $499 |
Wi-Fi + 4G LTE | ||
64GB / 2GB RAM |
$599 | $599 |
128GB / 4GB RAM |
$699 | $599 |
As ever, the Surface 3 comes with a free one-year Office 365 Personal subscription, worth $69.99. However, if you want a Type Cover keyboard, or a Surface Pen, you'll have to purchase those separately.
This latest deal is due to end on January 31, 2016 - but given Microsoft's recent efforts to shift those tablets, it may not be long until the next round of Surface 3 discounts arrives.
