Microsoft faces a law suit from online gaming company Mythic Entertainment over the alleged use of its trademark in Vole game Mythica.
Mythic started legal action in mid-November, but after a brief engagement with Microsoft, talks broke down, and the firm went public with the action last week, according to the Wall Street Journal. Microsoft's "Mythica" game like Mythic's game, is online, and the smaller software firm claims that the Vole's version copies elements of its own "Dark Age of Camelot".
The newspaper quotes a Microsoft rep as saying his firm respects intellectual property, including trademarks.
