Microsoft has made two additional games free to Xbox Live Gold members as part of April's Games with Gold. Xbox One owners are now able to grab Ubisoft's action title Assassin's Creed Syndicate while Xbox 360 owners get the opportunity to claim the Visceral Games-developed horror title, Dead Space 2. However, note that thanks to backward compatibility, Xbox One owners are also able to claim the latter game.
The two games can be picked up right now via their respective store links listed below:
Assassin's Creed Syndicate (Xbox One, April 16 - May 15)
London, 1868. In the heart of the Industrial Revolution, lead your underworld organization and grow your influence to fight those who exploit the less privileged in the name of progress:
Engineer Isaac Clarke returns for another blood-curdling adventure in the sequel to the critically acclaimed Dead Space™. After waking from a coma on a massive space city known as “The Sprawl”, the lone survivor of a horrific alien infection finds himself confronting a catastrophic new nightmare. Battling dementia, hunted by the government, and haunted by visions of his dead girlfriend, Isaac will do whatever it takes to save himself and dominate the gruesome onslaught. With an arsenal of tools to dismember Necromorphs and new determination, an engineer will bring the terror to space. The nightmare returns in 2011.
Meanwhile, The Witness from the previous Games with Gold promotion is still available to claim for any Xbox One owners who have yet to do so, with the puzzle game set to be replaced by another title on April 30. Keep in mind that only claimed Xbox 360 games will remain playable if the Gold subscription is discontinued, while claimed Xbox One games need an active subscription to be playable.
