God of War: Ragnarok gets stunning gameplay trailer, sets up conflict with Freya and Thor

Today, Sony revealed a proper gameplay trailer for God of War: Ragnarok. While we didn't receive a concrete release date, the title looks quite polished already based on the gameplay trailer we saw during the September 2021 PlayStation Showcase.

Tensions seem to be quite high between Kratos and Atreus, and Freya and Thor won't leave them alone due to the events that transpired during the first game. It's unclear where the story will go from here, but we should expect a number of twists and turns along the way.

While the visuals appear similar to what we got with the God of War reboot, they're more refined. The environments also appear to be larger in scale, with more ferocious and agile enemies. God of War: Ragnorak will probably run at 60 frames per second on PlayStation 5 (PS5).

According to the PlayStation Blog, you'll be able to travel to new places including Asgard in the sequel. Existing realms will also feature new locations filled with secrets.

Are you excited for God of War: Ragnarok? Will you pick up a PS5 for it? Let us know in the comments below.
