Project Spartan for Windows 10 devices is just around the corner and new details are being leaked every day. Today, WindowsMania.pl has leaked some screenshots of the new browser on Windows 10 for phones.
As can be seen from the build shown in the screenshot, the browser implements the use of ellipses instead of the oft-criticized hamburger menu, which has become increasingly common in Windows apps. The address bar is now repositioned to the top of the screen instead of the bottom.
Moreover, "reading lists" can also be seen in the leaked build, similar to what we reported on being present in Windows 10 desktop. Coupled with the "hub" control, the reading list feature is a basic implementation to group content by type or publication for offline reading. We fully expect more features to be added in upcoming builds of Spartan to improve the reading list experience.
The "Send feedback" button further emphasizes the fact that Microsoft is actively looking to improve upon the web browsing experience through feedback from customers. All in all, the screenshots do give a rather decent indication about what we can expect to see once Project Spartan is released to Windows Insiders, and while it is still early in the development of the browser, features are coming together quickly and Spartan is shaping up to be a worthy replacement of the aging Internet Explorer.
