Microsoft today announced a new scheduling experience that the company is making available to Outlook for iOS. It's inspired by a similar feature that's already available on the desktop version of the app, which lets you see your co-workers' schedules, allowing the user to schedule an event at a time that works for everyone.
First, you'll need to create an event in your calendar and then add co-workers to the 'People' field. When you go to the date picker, you'll see times that work for the whole group in white, some members in yellow, and no one in red. Next, you'll go to the time picker and drag the event until it turns green, which indicates that it's a good time.
The new feature is actually part of a suite of features that Microsoft announced back at Ignite, following its theme of adding intelligent features to Office. Other features that the company showed off were integration with Skype Meetings, tighter integration with other Office Mobile apps, recognizing flight and other calendar information, and more.
To use the new feature, you'll need to be connected to Office 365 or the latest version of Exchange. It's available for iOS today, but will be coming to Android and Windows 10 Mobile soon.
