There are reports coming in from some users of Microsoft's online email service Outlook.com are unable to sign onto their email accounts at the monent. This situation began earlier this morning. Neowin readers have been posing their reports on the signup issues on our forums. However, this problem does not appear to be affecting all Outlook.com users at the moment.
One Neowin member, alwaysonacoffeebreak, states in our forums, "Well it did load for me for a second and then tried to fetch emails but it kept on trying so I refreshed the page and now I'm stuck on the login page again hah."
Other users have taken to Twitter to talk about the outage. One users posted up the following message:
@microsofthelps @outlook Outlook.com down? Getting browser error. Other Live services are erm Live :-)

The issues are also affecting some users who are signing up with their Hotmail.com account. Microsoft recently announced that Outlook.com was out of beta and that Hotmail.com users will start to transition into the new Outlook.com user interface over the coming months.
We have emailed Microsoft to find out what's happening with Outlook.com today and will update this post when the current situation changes.
Update: Microsoft has sent the following statement to Neowin:
Microsoft is investigating an issue affecting a small number of users' access to Hotmail and Outlook.com, and we are working to restore full access to the service as quickly as possible. For the latest information, we encourage users to visit the Hotmail and Outlook.com status page (https://status.live.com/).
