Information about the next generation Moto G started appearing online few weeks ago, and it was just a matter of time before its high-end sibling made an appearance. A high-end Moto branded smartphone, alleged to be the next Moto X, has now been spotted on GeekBench with standard flagship specs for 2016.
Last year, Motorola chose to split its high-end Moto X lineup into a variety of models with slight differences. These included the Moto X Play, X Style, X Pure and the X Force. The company's plan for this year is not yet known, but at least one high-end smartphone from the Lenovo subsidiary seems to be in development, if the leaked benchmark score is any indication.
The device spotted on GeekBench carries the identifier XT1650 and packs a Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 1.59 GHz. It comes with 4 GB of RAM, which is now a standard affair for all flagships launched this year. The listing also reveals that the smartphone is running on a 64-bit version of Android Marshmallow. Since, GeekBench does not provide other data about devices, we do not have information about the XT1650's camera, storage and sensors.
Motorola is expected to launch the Moto G at its June 9th event, but it could very well launch the Moto X at the same event. However, nothing can be confirmed for now.
