A new Toshiba 2-in-1 device has been teased at Microsoft’s IFA 2015 keynote, and while few details have been shared, we were given a short look at the device on stage. The showcase, titled ‘Windows 10 Lights up New Devices’, was hosted by the corporate vice president of Microsoft’s OEM division, Nick Parker, and introduced a range of new devices from manufacturers designed for Windows 10.
We expected to see more new hardware from Microsoft’s partners than we actually received, however it doesn’t mean that the company was completely out of surprises. A new Toshiba 2-in-1 tablet was shown at the end of the event, and while specs have not yet been shared, it has been suggested that more details will be shared soon.
The ultra-thin 12 inch tablet is made for productivity and organization, therefore it is safe to expect that we won’t see a concealed powerhouse. The tablet comes with an included pen, which magnetically binds to the right hand side of the device. The thick bezel, and keyboard have a unique, matching metallic finish. The Verge reports that in an early session with Toshiba, it was revealed that the tablet also accommodates an Intel Atom processor, under the 1080p display.
