It wasn't that long ago that we reported on an upcoming OPPO device dubbed the F5. While not much was known about the device at the time, now, the alleged specifications of the handset have emerged in full.
For starters, the smartphone will come with a 6-inch 18:9 1080p (2160 x 1080) IPS display, with 6GB RAM, and also 64GB of storage. On the rear, the handset will feature a fingerprint reader, dual 12MP cameras, and a 20MP front-facing camera with autofocus. The cameras will have a feature called “AI beauty recognition technology”. This will allow the device to utilize AI to understand age and genders and make optimal changes or enhancements with the images that are captured.
Those concerned about battery life will be glad to know that it will come packed with a huge 4,000mAh battery but will charge through Micro USB. While everything looks quite impressive, it seems a bit curious that OPPO would utilize a Micro USB port for a phone being released in late 2017.
The OPPO F5 will most likely make its debut in Asia, being made available to India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. If the rumors prove to be true, we should hear more about this handset on October 26.
